On the 27th of November 2020, the Government of the Valencian Community signed an agreement establishing a special pay for all the healthcare professionals required to work extra during the Covid-19 pandemic.
On the 14th of March 2023, however, the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) declared such agreement void, due to the lack of collective negotiation with the unions.
In response to this, the Valencian Community has reassured local healthcare professionals that no one will have to return the money received. Moreover, Valencian institutions are currently evaluating the opportunity to appeal the TSJCV ruling.
